Where technical palladium sits
Loose car catalytic converters we do not buy; the palladium in them calls for specialised processing. Everything else on this list is welcome, contaminated or mixed as well.

Analysis first, no estimates
With technical material nobody knows by eye what is inside: contacts are often alloyed with silver, gauze with other platinum group metals. That is why the analysis always comes first. With X-ray fluorescence (XRF) we establish the composition, in your presence and with the result on the screen.
After that the sum is simple: the measured fine weight of palladium times the daily rate. That way you can be sure you are paid for the metal and not for an assumption – and payment follows within 24 hours by bank transfer.
Provenance and size of lot
With company material we ask for provenance details for a declaration of provenance – a company name, a disposal document, at a pinch a short description of the process it came out of. Technical precious metal without a clear provenance we do not buy. Private individuals, for instance with material out of an estate, identify themselves as with every purchase.
Larger lots run through the head office in Eindhoven. There we can fix the rate for an agreed period, and if you wish we come to you insured, throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.
A small market with a restless rate
The palladium market is small: supply comes largely out of Russia and South Africa, and demand hangs strongly on the catalytic converters of petrol cars. A shift on either side moves the rate visibly at once – more so than with gold, where the market is many times larger.
For you that means: the daily rate of the moment counts. We always calculate with the current rate, and with a larger lot you can have that rate fixed for an agreed period.
With a larger lot in particular, fixing the rate is worth considering – the agreement then sets the price, not the day of delivery.

How to sell your industrial palladium
From walking in to being paid usually takes less than half an hour.
Announce the lot in advance
At the head office in Eindhoven. The right equipment is then ready and we set time aside for it.
Recording provenance
Company name or disposal document, plus photo identification. With commercial lots that declaration is compulsory.
Analysis of the composition
With X-ray we establish per lot how much precious metal is really in it. There is no need to clean it beforehand.
Settlement on fine weight
At the daily rate, by bank transfer within 24 hours. With an announced lot the rate can be fixed in advance.

Do you buy palladium from car catalytic converters?
Loose converters from private individuals we do not buy; those belong with a specialised recycler, because different rules apply to their processing and provenance. Catalyst gauze and other process material from industry we do buy, after an analysis of the composition. Announce such a lot in advance at the head office in Eindhoven.
Is there palladium in old relays and telephone exchanges?
Yes, because the contact points in relays and switches are often of palladium or of a palladium-silver alloy. Exactly how much is in them varies strongly per type and per manufacturer, so estimating serves no purpose. The X-ray analysis shows the composition per lot, and it is on that fine weight that we settle.
My material is mixed with silver and copper. Is that all right?
Yes. The X-ray analysis shows the whole composition; we settle on the share of palladium and name the rest separately. You see the result on the screen before we make an offer.
Do I have to clean or sort the material first?
No, there is no need and it is even inadvisable. Sorting and assessing we do at the table, and contamination simply becomes visible in the X-ray analysis, so we settle on the actual fine weight. Cleaning, cutting or separating it yourself can cost material, and that comes straight off your proceeds.
What do I need to bring as a company?
The material itself, valid photo identification of whoever delivers it, and provenance details such as the company name or a disposal document for the declaration of provenance. With commercial lots that declaration is compulsory and we hold strictly to it. Announce larger lots in advance at the head office in Eindhoven and everything will be ready.
How quickly am I paid for an industrial lot?
Once you agree, the amount reaches your account by bank transfer within 24 hours, larger sums included. With a lot announced in advance the rate can moreover be fixed for an agreed period, so that you are not dependent on the day you happen to walk in. We set that down in writing beforehand.
What identification do I need in order to sell?
You need valid photo identification: a passport, identity card or driving licence. We are legally required to record your details when buying precious metal, jewellery and watches. Without valid identification we are therefore not allowed to buy anything.
When do I receive my money after the sale?
You receive your money as soon as you have agreed to the valuation. Smaller amounts we pay in cash; larger amounts reach your account by bank transfer within 24 hours. You sign the purchase receipt first, and payment follows after that.
